About Us Between The Lines is a multi-award-winning lifestyle family-run business with 20 stores across the South of England, specialising in beautiful, inspiring gifts, cards, and books for friends, family, and your home.

Founded in 1964 by Norman and Mary Brine, our first store opened in Midhurst, Sussex. The shop has been trading successfully ever since, providing a friendly and efficient service to the local community. Norman's daughter, Lindsey, along with her husband, Florian, joined the business in the mid-80s, opening a second store in Godalming.

Since then, Between The Lines has grown and expanded its locations across the South of England with the aim of spreading its core mission to 'celebrate the joy of giving'.
