Make beautiful monochrome prints using recyclable packaging

This festive workshop will introduce you to the wonders of intaglio printmaking. Led by award-winning local artist-printmaker, Kate Alger, you'll learn how to create black and white original prints using a portable printing press.

Please bring an apron and dress for potential mess and note that this technique requires some hand strength and dexterity to scratch and cut your design into the Tetra Pak packaging.

All materials included. Suggested reference images will include robins, deer, holly , Christmas trees, baubles etc but you're welcome to freestyle or bring your own black and white reference images (respecting all copyright), flipped to get a mirror image, printed on paper, ideally A6 in size.

Suitable for ages 12+ (children to be accompanied please)
