Come along to the first Guildford Makers Exchange, a free community skill-share event bringing people together through creativity, curiosity and making.
Instead of formal workshops, local makers will share simple arts and craft skills around different tables, with small, achievable projects for anyone who would like to have a go. No previous experience is needed and you don’t need to be “good at art” – just curious to try something new.
You’ll be able to move between different making activities, exchange ideas, meet new people, or bring along an unfinished project of your own and enjoy making alongside others.
The aim is simple: make something, meet someone, and enjoy creating together.
We’ll also have a craft materials and tools exchange, giving unwanted creative supplies sitting unused at home a chance to be used and enjoyed by someone else.
This activity is aimed at adults, though children aged 13+ are welcome to join provided they are accompanied by an adult (18+).
As space is limited, we recommend booking a free ticket in advance and arriving near the beginning of the event so you can hear the introductions and see the different activities available.
