We're delighted to welcome our patron and iconic Olivier and BAFTA Award winning actor, Dame Penelope Keith, to the Yvonne Arnaud stage for a special fundraising event in aid of our Play Your Part campaign.
Dame Penelope is particularly well-known for popular TV series including The Good Life and To The Manor Born. Her recent theatre credits have included The Importance of Being Earnest (West End and tour) and The Chalk Garden (Chichester Festival Theatre). Since 2014, she has presented three series of Penelope Keith’s Hidden Villages for Channel 4.
Dame Penelope will be joined in conversation by fellow TV favourite, Mel Giedroyc.
Mel Giedroyc is a TV presenter, writer and actress. She is known for her work alongside Sue Perkins in shows such as the multi Bafta-winning Great British Bake Off (BBC) and Light Lunch (Channel 4), which made them household names. Mel has appeared in sitcoms and panel shows, as well as on stage, most recently in Stephen Sondheim’s Olivier Award winning Company at the Gielgud Theatre in the West End. Mel is currently in The Crown Jewels with Al Murray.
Proceeds from the event will support our Play Your Part campaign to transform the theatre.
