Invisible Things features a striking selection of drawings and paintings exploring the complexities of human emotion.
Using both representation and abstraction Lucy Pass’s fragmented, expressive portraits aim “to capture the invisible things within us”, creating deeply personal yet universally resonant pieces.
Since appearing on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year 2019, self-taught artist Pass has exhibited across the UK, and her work is held in private collections around the world.
Shortlisted for several awards, Pass received The British Art Prize in 2023 and is the winner of the Guildford House Open 2024. The exhibition Invisible Things is part of the Guildford House Open competition prize, jointly presented by Guildford Borough Council’s Heritage Service with visual arts specialists Parker Harris.
Drawn from Pass’s own emotions the work is displayed here with an invitation from the artist to explore the feelings they evoke within the viewer.
