Get ready for a free Festive Family Fun Day, with lots of activities, performances and magical moments to enjoy across Guildford town centre all for free or low-cost.
In the High Street, look up and catch the Christmas snowflakes, chase the cheeky elf’s giant bubbles, or get funky with our Christmas Disco. Interact with walkabout elves, performers, and characters. Visit Tunsgate Arch to marvel at our dancers’ synchronicity and the choirs’ festive tunes. Or become one yourself by getting your face painted (small cost).
You can sing along with the Rock Choir at the Rotunda on Friary Street or hear your favourite carols and showtunes played out by the brass bands, and many others.
During the day, the Mayor of Guildford will be in attendance. Along with the Rock Choir and many mascots and characters, she will lead a procession up the High Street to Guildhall where she will welcome everyone.
We also have a fantastic free photo opportunity as our very popular Giant Snow Globe makes a welcome return to Phoenix Court.
Whilst enjoying the entertainment, don’t forget to make a start on the Christmas shopping in our wonderful and varied range of town centre shops. Grab Experience Guildford’s Little Book of Offers for a range of discounts. There will also be a superb array of food, drink and gifts on sale at the Christmas markets on High Street.
