A rare European performance from the great American bassist Chuck Israels. Described by Humphrey Lyttelton as “a superb technician who handles the double bass as easily as if it were a guitar’, Chuck is best known for his work with the legendary Bill Evans Trio. He has also worked with such jazz luminaries as Billie Holiday, Coleman Hawkins, Stan Getz and John Coltrane. Chuck will be joined by tenor saxophonist Fraser Smith, guitarist Jonas Metsäkylä and drummer Steve Brown.
