For their closing event of the 2025 Guildford Jazz and Soul Festival, Guildford Jazz proudly presents Mark Kavuma’s Banger Factory Sextet playing their new album ‘Magnum Opus’. Magnum Opus presents original compositions, arrangements and performances by veterans of the British jazz scene and is a celebration of music, leadership and community.
Released last Autumn, the album was launched at a sold-out Queen Elizabeth Hall (Southbank Centre) for the London Jazz Festival. Charismatic and visionary trumpet player and composer Mark Kavuma. Kavuma is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of jazz whilst inspiring the next generation, showcasing the immense talent of London's jazz community, championing diversity across genres, genders and borders, and ultimately shaping the future of jazz music.
