Join us for an hour’s jazz in the Cafe at the Guildford Institute, which boasts a baby grand piano as well as delicious food. The featured musicians are saxophonist Vasilis Xenopoulos and pianist Paul Edis who have been described as ‘world-class’ by the American magazine Los Angeles Jazz Scene and who first began playing together 20 years ago when they both relocated to West London to study. Originally from Greece, Vasilis had just finished studying at Berklee College in the US, whilst Paul had moved South from the Northeast of England. In the intervening years they’ve played numerous gigs together, releasing their first album entitled ‘A Narrow Escape’ in 2016 to critical acclaim followed by glowing reviews from around the world for their latest album ‘Feels Like Home’, released in 2024. Supporting Vasilis and Paul will be Guildford’s Marianne Windham on bass

From 2.00pm to 3.00pm (lunch available from 12 to 2pm) at The Guildford Institute, Ward St, Guildford GU1 4LH
