A towering figure of stage and screen, Sir Derek Jacobi has enjoyed an extraordinary career spanning more than six decades. A founding member of the National Theatre and a master of Shakespeare’s greatest roles, he has received BAFTA, Olivier, Emmy, Screen Actors Guild, and Tony Awards, and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for services to theatre.
From I, Claudius and Gladiator to The Crown, Last Tango in Halifax, Gosford Park, and The King’s Speech, Sir Derek’s work has captivated audiences around the world and secured his place as one of Britain’s most treasured performers.
Joining him on stage will be Richard Clifford, whose distinguished career includes acclaimed work in film, television, and theatre, as well as over twenty years directing productions at Washington’s Folger Shakespeare Theatre.
