After a sell out kids' show at the Yvonne Arnaud in 2024, Shelf are BACK with a brand new sketch comedy show to celebrate the release of their first kids' book series. It's double the funny, double the silly, double the sketch and it's fun for children, their adults, and any ghosts or pigeons that wander in.
Winners of Best Kids' Show, 2023 Leicester Comedy Festival and UK Kids' Comedy Festival. Shelf are a comedy double act, formed in 2015 by lifelong friends Rachel WD and Ruby Clyde.
Their first kids' book series, Glam and Beardy, is releasing in April 2026.
Following critical acclaim on the alternative comedy scene, Shelf started adapting their material into family-friendly comedy for audiences of all ages. Today, Shelf are writers for the Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball and award-winning children's performers (Best Show Leicester Comedy Festival, UK Kids' Comedy Festival 2023).
Shelf have been resident artists at Great Ormond Street Hospital, regular performers with Comedy Club 4 Kids, created bespoke content for GirlGuides UK, run accessible workshops for The Southbank Centre, and more.
