About Us Wysch Productions LTD (known as Guildford Fringe is a dynamic and fast-growing organisation at the heart of the local arts scene. As a small, resourceful team, we produce a wide range of theatre productions, comedy nights, and live entertainment events. We pride ourselves on creativity, collaboration and delivering memorable experiences for our audiences.
The Role We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Events & Production Assistant with a strong interest in the theatre, comedy and entertainment industry. This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple aspects of live events and production in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Someone with a driving licence and use of a car is essential. The applicant must be able to work weekends and evenings.
Key Responsibilities • Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of theatre productions and live events • Run events on-site, ensuring smooth operations from set-up to breakdown • Manage audiences, including front-of-house duties and customer experience • Set up and operate small PA/sound systems for performances and events (full training given) • Support the organisation and delivery of comedy nights and other entertainment events • Work closely with the owners to ensure productions run efficiently and to a high standard • Provide general operational support across the business as needed including • Assist in basic marketing and PR
About You • Passionate about theatre, comedy, and live entertainment • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-moving environment • Hands-on, proactive, and willing to get involved in all aspects of the business • Resourceful and solution-focused, with a positive attitude • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Basic technical knowledge (e.g. sound/PA systems) is desirable but not essential
