Dame Judi Dench Donates Original Painting to Support Yvonne Arnaud Theatre

We are very excited and truly humbled that our Patron, Dame Judi Dench, has generously donated one of her original paintings to our online auction .

The painting, titled Six, was created by Dame Judi in 2025 and is believed to be one of the final artworks she has produced. The piece will form a highlight of the theatre’s upcoming online auction, launching in late April, with all proceeds helping to fund the theatre’s Creative Learning initiatives that engage and inspire people across the local community.

The auction will feature several unique prizes and experiences generously donated by well-known supporters of the theatre, including David Suchet and author Louise Morrish. Among the exclusive opportunities available will be the chance to appear on stage in a professional production at the Yvonne Arnaud, as well as a guided tour of the House of Lords followed by lunch with Stephen Parkinson.

Supporters can also take part in a special fundraising evening at the theatre. On Wednesday 13 May, the Yvonne Arnaud will host its gala dinner, Supper with the Stars, offering guests the rare opportunity to dine on the theatre’s famous stage.

The evening will include a delicious meal prepared by At Home Catering, with courses served alongside live entertainment. Guests will also have the chance to meet celebrated performers including Patricia Hodge and Richard Stilgoe.

The event promises to be a memorable evening celebrating the arts while raising vital funds to support the theatre’s important work within the community.
