Guildford Business Crime Reduction Partnership and Guildford Pubwatch are putting out a stern message to revellers that theft, abusive behaviour and criminal damage will not be tolerated as the scheme becomes more active and now boasting over 270 participating members as well as several on the outskirts.

Working with partners on initiatives such as Shopkind, #BeKind, Best Bar None, Ask for Angela and National Safe Places, Guildford is still one of the safest towns in England to come for a good night out with a host of retailers, supported by cafés, entertainment venues and a vibrant night time economy.

Potentially if someone is causing harm to the businesses then they could receive a minimum of a years ban leading up to 5 years depending on the severity of the incident.

Pete Lambert, Chair of Guildford Business Crime Reduction Partnership quotes "This is a fabulous time of the year for our businesses and the last thing we want to see are our members hard graft over the next couple of months, being tainted by the actions of a few individuals".

Both organisations wish for people to come to the town to enjoy the many amazing outlets that make Guildford such a popular place to shop and socialise but the message remains, Behave or be Banned!

At the same time Guildford BCRP and Pubwatch would like to wish the good boys and girls, a very merry Christmas.
