Local creators launch new store opening in White Lion Walk 1st June!

MyNewFave - Collective, a unique new store located in White Lion Walk, Guildford, is set to open its doors on Saturday 1st June after winning a local start-up competition.

This innovative new retail venture will offer a diverse range of handmade & designs products from local creators, including clothing, jewellery, homeware, skincare and so much more. The store aims to become the go-to destination for high-quality, handmade gifts with a personal touch in Guildford.

MyNewFave - Collective is launching after owner Kelly Attfield – a local entrepreneur and creative – won a highly coveted spot on The White Lion Walk Incubator by JO and SaveTheHighStreet.org, securing 8 weeks of rent-free space in the centre, along with expert support from a team of high street experts.

Kelly originally launched MyNewFave online as a jewellery brand but, thanks to the incubator, has now been able to take her business offline for the very first time by teaming up with other like-minded local creatives to create a very unique lifestyle store concept.

MyNewFave will be opening for an initial 8 weeks from 1st June 2024.

Q&A with owner Kelly Attfield

Why did you apply to join the White Lion Incubator? I wanted to bring a unique shopping experience to Guildford town centre by way of bringing a group of small business creatives, all from the local surrounding areas, all under one roof to create a beautifully-curated shop. This incredible opportunity in a popular shopping town will be a springboard for my store launch and I hope to continue my retail journey beyond this, with the support of local customers.

How did you feel when your application was successful?

I was overjoyed I was successful in my application to launch my store in White Lion Walk! Such an exciting opportunity is ahead and I can’t wait to start welcoming customers into the store. I’m so excited.

How have you found preparing to launch? Overwhelming at first but all the assistance from the JO and SaveTheHighStreet.org team has been beyond helpful and I’m excited to launch with all their help and advice!
