The Yvonne Arnaud Theatre has released its latest Impact Document for 2025/26, highlighting another remarkable year of growth, community engagement and cultural contribution within Guildford.
The theatre welcomed more than 136,000 visitors across the year for performances and events — representing a 20% increase compared to the previous year and reinforcing the theatre’s position as one of Guildford’s leading cultural destinations.
Alongside its successful programme of productions and entertainment, the theatre’s Creative Learning programme continued to make a significant impact, with 6,547 people attending workshops, activities and community events throughout the year.
The report also revealed the important role the theatre plays in supporting Guildford’s wider economy, with 94% of customers stating they visited Guildford specifically because of the theatre.
In addition to audience growth, the theatre celebrated several major achievements during the year, including winning a Guildford Design Award for the refurbishment of its front-of-house spaces. The theatre’s dedicated volunteers were also recognised with a Mayor’s Award for Service to the Community in recognition of their ongoing commitment and support.
The Yvonne Arnaud continues to play a vital role not only as a performance venue, but as a community hub that brings people together through arts, culture and creativity.
Representatives from the theatre have encouraged local residents and businesses to explore the full Impact Document and invited anyone interested to get in touch for further information or to arrange a visit to the theatre.
