Hospitality Reopening from 4th July
What to Expect
Hospitality venues have been working hard behind the scenes to make sure 4th July goes as smoothly as possible. Whilst we know not everyone will be rushing out to return to pubs and restaurants just yet, if you are planning to head in to town for dinner and a drink this weekend here are a few things to bear in mind:
  • Though they are allowed to, not all restaurants and pubs will be opening this Saturday – CLICK HERE for list of reopening dates
  • As venues will be operating at a reduced capacity, you may need to queue to get in – please do so patiently
  • Venues have been asked to collect data from all visitors to assist with NHS track and trace- data required to be collected will be limited to name, contact details and date and time of visit and this will be stored securely by the venue for 21 days
  • Different venues may have different solutions and procedures in place so it is worth visiting their websites, checking out their social media or giving them a ring ahead of visiting so you know what to expect – some may only be accepting guests who have pre-booked for example
  • Face coverings are required when travelling via public transport and buses and trains may be operating a reduced timetable – make sure you plan your return journey
  • Many venues will be offering off-sales which can be enjoyed in some of the lovely public spaces Guildford has to offer- help to keep our green spaces looking their best by disposing of any rubbish responsibly
  • Drinking responsibly will be more important than ever to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and stress free experience
Pubs and restaurants in Guildford are excited to reopen their doors and welcome back their customers but remember this is new to everyone so please try to be cautious, calm and kind when visiting our town centre venues.
If you have a concern take the time to speak to a member of staff or management who can hopefully put your mind at ease or look in to the issue further.
