WHAT DOES ‘SØSTRENE GRENE’ MEAN? ‘Søstrene Grene’ is Danish and means the Grene sisters.

‘Søstrene’ refers to the two hosts, sisters Anna and Clara, who represent the company in all written narratives. Anna is the creative sister with a highly developed sense of aesthetics, while Clara is the practical and orderly sister. Together, they are behind the diverse experience that Søstrene Grene always has to offer.

Occasionally, ‘Grene’ has erroneously been translated into ‘Green’ in English, but Grene is in fact a family name. Søstrene Grene is a family business founded by the Grene family in 1973, and the Grene family still owns and runs the chain today.

At Søstrene Grene, you can always find a wealth of graceful products for renewal of the home and creative pursuits.
