Safe Places Guildford Attended Autism Friendly Event on Monday 13th May at G live in Guildford

The event was for autistic people and their families, interested members of the public, local businesses and people who work supporting autistic people to raise awareness of the support that is available.

Emma White, Experience Guildford Town Safety & Venue Liaison Officer and Jacob Griffiss, Experience Guildford Town Ranger were there to represent Safe Places Guildford.

Safe places Guildford have 23 organisations currently signed up to the scheme, each organisation in the Safe Places receive a variety of training- First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, Dementia Awareness, Deaf Awareness and soon to be Autism awareness training so they are prepared to offer a warm welcome. Emma White who has also been involved in the organising of the Autism event It has been a real pleasure being part of this journey, and I thank those who have helped make this event happen, and I hope this has been impactful to the community, and thanks to G-Live for hosting the event who are also Safe Place Scheme members.
