From royal research to palace settings, what makes the Queen such an ideal figure for crime fiction?

SJ Bennett wrote several award-winning books for teenagers before turning to adult crime novels with the Her Majesty the Queen Investigates series. Her books have been published in over twenty languages, from Japanese to Catalan. The latest, Murder Most Royal, was a Waterstones and LoveReading Best Book of the Year.
