Hamish De Bretton Gordon has devoted his life to fighting the use of chemical weapons and helping those who suffer at their hands. As one of the world’s leading experts on chemical and biological counter-terrorism and warfare he has been at the forefront of the charge against these devastating weapons, both at home and abroad, advising the UK Government at the highest level on chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons including the recent attacks against civilians in Syria, and last year’s Novichok poisoning in Salisbury. Chemical Warrior: Syria, Salisbury and Saving Lives is his gripping and powerful memoir.

Hamish is co-founder, with Professor David Nott, of Doctors Under Fire, a worldwide campaign to stop hospitals and medical staff being bombed.
